Common work

  • 01 RIB maintenance and preparation
  • 02 Post-season deep washing
  • 03 Patching punctured or cut tubes

Service

When a RIB needs workshop time

Most RIBs come in for leaking tubes, tube cuts, worn valves, post-season dirt, or damaged textile and plastic parts.

01

Tubes, seams, and valves

We handle punctures, cuts, loose seams, pressure loss, and valves that no longer hold properly.

  • PVC and Hypalon repairs
  • Patching areas that lose air
  • Valve replacement or inspection
02

Deep cleaning

Cleaning makes sense after the season, before selling, or before repair when the surface needs to be properly visible.

  • Tubes, plastics, and edges
  • Salt, grease, and stubborn buildup
  • Surface preparation for further service
03

Plastic and boat fittings

Plastic parts, handles, strips, and finish elements are handled according to condition and parts availability.

  • Repair of damaged parts
  • Inspection of edges and joints
  • Replacement when repair is not sensible
04

Nautical textile

Textile parts connected to the RIB and daily use can be stitched, repaired, and reinforced.

  • Weak seams and tears
  • Reinforcement of worn parts
  • Finishing for normal boat use

RIB symptoms

When the issue is not only dirt

Some signs look minor while the RIB is on land, but become bigger problems during the season. If they repeat, they are worth checking before use.

01

The tube loses pressure

One chamber drops after inflation, a cut is visible near a seam, or the leak is only audible when the tube is under pressure.

02

Valve or seam does not hold

The problem may be the valve, the edge around it, or a loose bonded area. The full zone is checked, not only one part.

03

Standard washing does not remove buildup

Salt, grease, and use marks can hide damage. Deep cleaning is often the first step before a more serious inspection.

04

Plastic or textile parts are giving way

Cracked plastic, worn handles, loose strips, or weak seams are handled according to condition and part availability.

Agreement

First we look for the problem

Photos are enough for the first reply. For larger cuts, loose seams, and more complicated repairs, the RIB still needs to be inspected in person.

Workshop flow

  1. 1. Check tubes, valves, plastics, textiles, and dirt level
  2. 2. Agree whether the boat needs washing, repair, or both
  3. 3. Complete the work and check the parts included in the job

First inquiry

What to send in the first inquiry

No long message is needed. A few details are enough to understand the job.

  • Close-up and wider photos of the damaged or dirty area
  • Whether the tube is PVC or Hypalon, if known
  • When the issue appears: immediately, after inflation, after washing, or during use
  • Vessel dimensions and a basic note on how it is used
  • Deadline or date when the vessel needs to be ready

If you do not know the material or cause, send photos. That is enough for the first reply.

Before handover

What is checked after the work

  • Critical zones on tubes and seams
  • Bonding edges and final finish
  • Valves, plastics, and textiles included in the job
  • What the owner should know before using the boat again

FAQ

Questions before booking

Short answers about materials, cleaning, and workshop inspection.

Can you repair larger tube cuts? +

Yes, we handle both small and demanding repairs depending on material condition.

Do you restore damaged plastic parts? +

Yes, we repair and restore damaged marine plastic components.

Can I book only deep cleaning? +

Yes, deep cleaning can be a standalone service or part of broader RIB maintenance.

How do you know whether a tube needs patching or part replacement? +

First we look at the damaged area, material age, and whether the surrounding zone still holds. Photos help for the first reply, but larger damage is better inspected in person.

Can you check a valve that does not hold pressure? +

Yes. The valve is checked together with the tube and the area around the valve, because pressure loss does not always come from the valve itself.

When is the best time for deep RIB cleaning? +

Most often after the season, before selling, or before repair. A clean surface shows cuts, loose bonding, and repair areas more clearly.
